Nissan has some of the most efficient vehicles available in the automotive industry. Even with that laudable fact in place, the automaker is always looking for new ways to be more eco-friendly.

Nissan is so committed to this cause that it has pledged to be carbon neutral by 2050.

Eliminating carbon emissions from Nissan vehicles and production will be no easy task. Still, Nissan already has some major milestones in place.

For example, Nissan plans to introduce only new models that are electrified by the early 2030s.

“We’re determined to help create a carbon neutral society and accelerate the global effort against climate change,” explains Nissan CEO Makoto Uchida. “Our offering in electrified vehicles will continue to expand around the world, and this will make a major contribution to Nissan becoming carbon neutral.”

Nissan isn’t just looking to make its vehicles more efficient. It’s also planning to make the production of these vehicle far more eco-friendly.

The Nissan Intelligent Factory initiative will introduce new techniques and ideas to manufacture these brand-new all-electric models while minimizing any carbon emissions, before hopefully eliminating these emissions entirely by 2050.

At Bill Seidle’s Nissan, we are proud to carry the cars of a brand that cares so much about the environment. Learn more about the eco-friendly options in the Nissan lineup by visiting today.

The way people shop has drastically changed in the past few years. Shopping on the internet has become the dominant trend, and that includes a call for more online car shopping options. Nissan is responding to that call by launching Nissan@Home, its very own online car shopping service.

Using Nissan@Home, Nissan customers can complete the entire car shopping experience from the comfort of their own home. This includes customizing their purchase, scheduling a test drive, and taking delivery.

Of course, if customers want to switch back to a more traditional in-person experience at any point in the process, a designated Nissan dealership will be at the ready to assist.

Last summer, Nissan launched a trial run of this new service, with seven Nissan dealerships from across the country participating. Every participating dealership recommended that Nissan launch the program nationally at the end of the trial period, proving the system wasn’t just beneficial for customers, but dealerships as well.

“Nissan@Home gives customers what they’re asking for – the ability to purchase a vehicle on their terms,” said Dan Mohnke, vice president of ecommerce for Nissan. “Through this new program, Nissan dealers can provide a better customer experience which can, in turn, help improve their own business performance.”

To learn more about this exciting new online shopping experience from Nissan, feel free to reach out to our sales team here at Bill Seidle’s Nissan, where we are happy to serve you either online or in-person.

Few upcoming models are generating as much buzz as the Nissan Z Proto. Despite everything that has already been revealed about this model, much of its identity is still shrouded in mystery. This guide will go over what we already know about this upcoming Nissan vehicle.

The Nissan Z Proto is set to be the successor to the popular Nissan 370Z. It will usher in a new era of Nissan sports vehicles.

Much of its design draws inspiration from previous Nissan vehicles bearing the “Z” moniker. For example, the shaping of its hood and headlights harkens back to the original Nissan Z vehicles.

Its design cues aren’t just for show, though. A lightweight carbon fiber body will help improve performance, while streamlined exterior elements will make the Nissan Z Proto ever aerodynamic.

These design elements would be nothing without a good power source under the hood. Fortunately, the Nissan Z Proto comes equipped with a V6 twin-turbocharged engine and a six-speed manual transmission to deliver a performance like no other sports vehicle.

To make the Nissan Z Proto the ideal performance model, Nissan actually reached out to motorsports drivers to learn what they look for in a vehicle. As such, the cabin has been optimized to be as comfortable as possible as the Nissan Z Proto races at high speeds.

We’ll learn more about the Nissan Z Proto in the near future, so stay tuned to the Bill Seidle’s Nissan’s blog for more updates.

Nissan Safety Shield® 360 is one of the most comprehensive and advanced collections of safety technologies in the automotive industry. Now, that safety suite will be standard on 10 Nissan models, making it more accessible than ever before.

“Offering these safety technologies as standard equipment on 10 of our most popular models is an important step forward,” said Andy Christensen, senior manager and lead technology expert of Intelligent Transportation System Research at Nissan Technical Center North America. “This added layer of protection can help keep young drivers safe especially as they are getting used to being on busy roads.”

Nissan already includes the safety system as standard on six models, including the Kicks, LEAF, Maxima, Rogue Sport, Sentra, and TITAN models. Safety Shield® 360 will also be a standard feature on the reimagined 2021 Rogue as well as three additional models, to be announced soon.

The Nissan Maxima is the longest continuous running Nissan nameplate in the U.S. going back 40 years. That’s why the 2021 Maxima is receiving a 40th Anniversary Edition when it goes on sale in the fall.

This edition adds on to the fully equipped Maxima Platinum grade with unique features like a two-tone Ruby Slate Gray Pearl exterior color and 19-inch gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels. Black exterior finishers and trim badges, Black exhaust finishers round out the exterior design of this edition.

Inside, the Maxima 40th Anniversary Edition gets red semi-aniline leather-appointed seating with 40th Anniversary embossing and Red contrast interior stitching. As a little throwback, this edition includes White speedometer and tachometer faces.

The Maxima has had no issue receiving more and more awards as the flagship of Nissan’s sedan lineup. Maxima was just named the top vehicle in the Large Car segment of J.D. Power Initial Quality Study in June and in July, it topped the J.D. Power APEAL Study Large Car category for three years in a row. It even received a Top Safety Pick rating from the IIHS for the fifth straight year.

The awards prove how much quality work goes into the Maxima and is being celebrated with the 40th Anniversary Edition this fall, offered in SV, SR and Platinum grade levels. Ask about it at Bill Seidle’s Nissan

Whether planning one last camping trip to enjoy the fall colors or heading to visit family this holiday season, many drivers will bring pets along. Here are some important tips for traveling safely with your pets.

Use restraints

Many people open the door and let their dogs ride on the back seat or in the cargo area of an SUV, but this isn’t a very good idea. According to the American Automobile Association, less than 20 percent of drivers restrain their animals while driving, and some even let their dogs and cats sit on their laps during a drive. Unrestrained animals are at risk of injury if you stop suddenly. Also, your furry friend could distract you and cause an accident. For example, cats feel safer and more comfortable in small, dark places and may dart into the footwell, preventing you from safely operating the pedals.

Restraint options

If your pet rides in the back seat, purchase a chest-style harness to keep them safe. These connect to the seat belts and ensure that in an accident, your pet is secured and the forces of the crash are evenly distributed throughout the harness. Be sure to buy the right size for your pet.

A crate or pet carrier is another way to keep your pet safe in a moving vehicle. Medium and large-sized dogs can be safely transported in the cargo area, while smaller dogs and cats fit in the back seat. You can attach the carrier to the child-seat anchor for extra safety.

Depending on your preferred pet transportation method, you may need a lot of space. Check out Bill Seidle’s Nissan to find excellent pet-friendly cars for your next road trip.

be kind

Bill Seidle’s Nissan has joined the #raktivist movement by selecting a few of our favorite kindness acts to follow through with! There’s plenty to choose from on the Random Acts of Kindness website, but here’s our top 5!

Give a nice compliment to a good parking job! A good parking job is something most people take pride in. Acknowledge their job well done by giving them a compliment! Especially those greatly skilled parallel or reversed parking jobs, we know those took a bit of practice to achieve!

Stay up to date on maintenance! This act allows you to be kind to yourself and the environment surrounding you! Regularly maintenance servicing your vehicle will reduce avoidable pollution and saves you money in the long run! Take a look at our awesomely kind service deals!

Take advantage of the cruise control feature! Cruise control is available on many newer vehicles. It is a feature that not only allows you to have a more enjoyable ride, but it also improves your mileage by 15%. Using the cruise control feature is kind to the environment in the way that it reduces emissions significantly.

Be nice to drivers around you! A smile is a good type of contagious. Smile and wave at nearby drivers sharing the road with you. Let others merge or pass into your lane. They might be late or in a hurry, letting them do this will be greatly appreciated and will avoid angry drivers!

Give up your parking spot! We’re all guilty, we aim for the closer parking options. This time give up your closer spot for another driver. This makes their life easier, and also lets you get in a longer walk to your desired destination!
