The holidays are right around the corner, which means it’s the perfect time to attend any one of the great holiday events in Miami. Whether you love looking at lights, attending the ballet, or visiting with Santa, there’s truly something for everyone in the area. Hop in your Nissan sedan and start exploring the city today.
According to Trip Savvy, Santa’s Enchanted Forest is a must for any family, especially if you have young children. This venue is open from November through December and into the first week of January; it’s been around for over 30 years. There’s a light show, rides, animals, and more. On some days, there are even carnival acts.
Next, check out the Winterfest Boat Parade. Held in downtown Fort Lauderdale (a 25-mile drive from Miami), this event takes place every year at the start of December. You can see the intra-coastal waterways lined with lighted boats for a 12-mile range from Lake Santa Barbara all the way to Pompano Beach. There’s no better road trip for the winter than the Winterfest Boat Parade.
Finally, visit Bayfront Park in downtown Miami. Starting the day after Thanksgiving, there is a 50-foot tree display covered in lights. You’ll enjoy the lighting ceremony and, holiday music; best of all-it’s free to attend.
