Nissan Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

With the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story coming up on May 25, the Nissan Star Wars partnership will continue. One of six partners this time around, Nissan hasn’t announced how it will work with Lucasfilm to promote the new Han Solo movie, but we can guess based on previous marketing strategies.

Lucasfilm will also join forces with Denny’s, Esurance, General Mills, Symantec, and-appropriately-SOLO Cup, all of which will design campaigns around relating their products back to Solo.

When using Nissan’s lineup in Star Wars promotional campaigns, especially the Nissan Rogue during marketing for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Lucasfilm and Nissan made sure to highlight in-car technology to show its similarity to the tech found in Star Wars. Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility System in particular has been adapted for use in virtual reality experiences at auto shows for fans to test out.

Since we also got the Nissan Rogue: Rogue One Edition when Rogue One was released, we may also see another special edition Nissan vehicle. Whether it would be another Nissan Rogue or a different option from the Nissan lineup, history would suggest that it’ll be styled after the movie-so let’s hope for a Millennium Falcon Maxima!
