All-wheel-drive models have an estimated 26 mpg city and 36 mpg highway. The VC-Turbo engine is estimated at a fair 25 mpg city and 35 mpg highway.
Interior
The interior is shockingly incredibly user-friendly. Everything is personalized for the best driving experience possible. The most eye-appealing features are the illuminating interior lighting, memory settings for the driver’s seat, heated front seats, and a power sunroof. This model also includes a flat-bottomed steering wheel and faux carbon fiber for a more sporty look. There’s enough room for everyone in the Altima’s back seat. Making this vehicle quite family-friendly.
Every Altima has a standard 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. The infotainment interface has a customizable main menu but otherwise few personalization options. While the sound system has useful knobs for volume and tuning, the touchscreen we tested responded slowly to inputs. Along with optional built-in navigation, the Altima’s infotainment system can be upgraded with a dealer-installed 4G LTE mobile hotspot.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
The Altima models have previously been named top safety picks by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. There is no doubt the 2020 model will be ranked as well. Forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking is standard in every Altima model. SR versions have standard blind-spot monitoring, high-beam assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and more safety and driver-assistance features. Other features include the following: lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, rear automated emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
